Nutanix has bought two companies. Both bring knowledge of Hyperconverged Infrastructure to the company.

PernixData specializes in Scale-out Data Acceleration Technology. With this technology, Nutanix can now „see“ any IO in the system without affecting traffic in any way.

The second company is Calm.io, a startup specialized in „Infrastrucutre Invisibility“ (connection of Nutanix to the infrastructure of public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc.).
