In the new year there are many projects in the pipeline for us, so we have to be able to rely on an infrastructure that is as maintenance-free and trouble-free as possible.

This was the reason for us to migrate our entire ESXi infrastructure to Nutanix’s native hypervisor, Acropolis Hypervisor, on the first weekend of the year. The migration went smoothly thanks to Nutanix’s integrated conversion feature. With about 120 VMs we were able to start and run the first VMs after 4 hours of cluster conversion.

Im neuen Jahr stehen viele Projekte für uns an, daher müssen wir uns auch auf eine möglichst Wartungs- und Störungs-freie Infrastruktur verlassen können.

Dies war der Anlass am ersten Wochenende im Jahr unsere komplette ESXi-Infrastruktur auf den nativen Hypervisor von Nutanix, genannt Acropolis Hypervisor, umzustellen. Die Umstellung ging dank der integrierten Umwandlungsfunktion von Nutanix reibungslos über die Bühne. Mit ca. 120 VMs konnten wir nach 4 Stunden Umwandlung des Clusters die ersten VM’s starten und laufen lassen.
